She Was Great
I am a Third Day fanatic. They are my all time favorite. Their latest CD has a song called "Born Again". Every time Lynna would get into the car she would put that CD on #9 and listen to THAT song. It is duet sung by Third Day's Mac Powell and Flyleaf's Lacey Mosley. Lynna and I would sing it together in the car. I had this idea month's ago that I would get Tyler Shoemaker (our praise band singer/guitar/drummer/do everything) to play the song and Lynna and I would sing as "special music" on a Wednesday night for the youth service. It took a lot of pleading, begging, and encouraging but last night she took a huge step in over coming her "shyness". You need to understand something. Lynna can sing. She can sing really good. This is not some dad thinking his daughter can sing. She can really sing. She sounds just like Lacey Mosely on that song. She gets it honest as her mom Stephanie has a beautiful voice as well. I, on the other hand have screamed from the pulpit too many times so any vocal talent I did have has been washed away and replaced with a dying moose. Never the less, She did absolutely wonderfully last night. She overcame her nerves and just belted out "Born Again"! I was extremely proud as I fought back tears through the song.

Harley is back home and doing good. She was spayed yesterday and was suppose to stay over night, but the vet said she did so well that she could come home on the same day. My mom already had her home by the time I got off work. She was so pitiful. You could tell she was really sore. She would just slowly walk up to me and lay at my feet ready for a rub. I checked on her again last night after church and noticed she has taken residence in her dog house again. The vet kept going on and on about how beautiful she is. I must agree. She was back in her house this morning so I did not disturb her.

I had a face to face conversation with Dr. Tim Key Sunday morning. He is the new DOM for the New Duck River Baptist Association. He came to Fair Haven Sunday and we spoke before and after the service. He had some encouraging things to say.
