News Travels Fast
I have always been told if you want something told there is Telegraph, Telephone, "Tell a Woman"! I don't know if anyone doesn't know this by now, but Stephanie and I are expecting our third child.
We have known for a week or so, but wanted to wait until Leah had her birthday party. She seems to get the short end of the stick since her birthday is Dec. 21st. We were at my wife's mothers house yesterday after church for Leah's party and things were starting to wind down so We whispered to the girls that "mommy was going to have a baby!" Squeals ensued. Chaos broke out as it was announced to Stephanie's family.
Lynna began texting the free world and everyone began calling friends and family to share in the good news. Leah camped out in the foyer at church last night telling everyone as they came in.
People keep asking, "Do you want a boy?" I would be lying if I didn't say yes. I think it would be neat to have a boy. Both my brothers have a boy, by golly I want a boy too. On the other hand, I can't help but think of my Uncle Clyde, who ended up with 3 girls. I never heard him complain, but I do remember how proud he was of Matthew, his first grandchild. I also know about Mr. Charlie Canter, who gave up after 5 daughters. Living with 6 women (including his wife), if that didn't earn him "sainthood" I don't know what does. I love my daughters. I couldn't be prouder if it is another girl. There is something special about "daddies little girls". Boy or girl, I am just humble that God would see fit to entrust us with another child.

I am SO excited about this!! Babies are always great news!
We had our boy first, and decided that he needed a brother. After giving him four sisters instead, we decided that we were quite blessed enough :). I had no idea what to do with girls since I grew up in a house full of boys...the Lord has a tremendous sense of humor...the ones I have are as girly as they come...every day is a new adventure :).
Very, very good news...I'm so happy for your family!
Congratulations! We are so happy for you. I thought Julia was going to be the youngest great grandchild (Reed side) since there have been no new additions in 3 years. This is a wonderful surprise!
Congratulations, Scott and Stephanie. It is wonderful to hear this news and a delightful surprise.
